Project Left Behind is a 501c3 nonprofit that focuses solely on orphans around the world. To that end, we provide fundamental items such as blankets, clothing, shelter, and basic medical needs, as well as assist in building orphanages throughout the world. The Board of Directors selects specific projects each year to support.
100% of all donations go directly to our selected projects. In fact, you can earmark your donation to support whichever project you’d prefer. Absolutely no funds are utilized to pay for overhead costs. All time, effort and resources are donated. In addition, we select projects where we have direct personal links in country. We utilize our contacts to determine what, exactly, is the critical need and how we can best support the orphans. We follow up our efforts by staying in touch with our contacts, receiving photos which are posted on the website, and potentially continue to support that project in the future if warranted.
At least one member of the Board of Directors travels to an orphanage annually. The primary purpose of this trip is to visit with the orphans, volunteer time and effort, assess their needs, and to vet the orphanage for current and future support from Project Left Behind. This trip enables the Board to remain educated in the needs of orphans, to understand the present conditions, and to receive precise feedback on the state of affairs at the orphanage in order to truly assess future potential fund allocations.
